Under the Spell of Israel

Zionist Gunzels Slaughter A Village

In Palestine, 60 years of carnage and invasion is still ongoing at the hands of some criminal and occupying Zionists.

They have forged a regime through collecting people from various parts of the world and bringing them to other people’s land by displacing, detaining, and killing the true owners of that land.

With advance notice, they invade, assassinate, and maintain food and medicine blockades, while some hegemonic and bullying powers support them.

The Security Council cannot do anything and sometimes, under pressure from a few bullying powers, even paves the way for supporting these Zionist murderers.

It is natural that some UN resolutions that have addressed the plight of the Palestinian people have been relegated to the archives unnoticed. –Ahmadinejad on Zionists

No Zionist news is old news!

As Israel carries out their illegal US funded attacks on civilian populations in Gaza, we look back at the origin of Israel, which is rooted in violence and racism; and the video, Who Were the First Terrorists in the Middle East?

When Gilad Atzmon sent this video across from London today I watched it and shook my head. For me the information isn’t all new but it is enlightening and equally suited for those of us in the know as well as people who are just opening their eyes to Israel’s insane, cruel and needless pattern of violence and cruelty and massive war crimes.

The west has been under a spell for decades, dismissing the real history, meaning and implications of Israel; blindly accepting and funding and protecting what truly is a rogue government without question or delay.

Israel, most unfortunately, is guided by a philosophy that they are more entitled. Israel’s approach to resolving real and perceived problems, as I have written before, is similar to gangland mentality where the biggest guns and sharpest knives, are used to decide the outcome of a situation.

Fortunately, everyone in Israel doesn’t believe in ‘Zionism’; the concept that Jewish people are allowed to take land from other human beings because ‘God gave it to them’.

This philosophy burdens not just Muslim and Christian people who live in occupied Palestine, but also Israeli citizens who speak out against the politicized, violent version of Judaism that Israel represents.

Today Israel is defined by its acts of state sponsored terrorism. As this video reveals, the story dates back to Israel’s very first days

We revealed in a recent report; Rahm Emanuel’s Father Specialized in Bus Bombings in Palestine Wayne Madsen Special to Salem-News.com, that Benjamin Emanue, father of Chicago’s newly elected mayor, Rahm Emanuel, was a Jewish terrorist who specialized in the bombings of buses carrying British troops and policemen during the British Mandate in Palestine.

Things are often not how they seem, and as Egypt’s quest for Revolutionary freedom glows, we receive word that an Israeli bomb has just injured 15 people in Gaza.

Israel is such a terrible player in the world political arena; they are deadly and murderous and prejudice and they cross national borders to conduct military action with impudence; as if beyond reproach.

Irgun, the army of Rahm Emanuel’s father, is short for Irgun Zvai Leumi- “National Military Organization” in Hebrew, was a terrorist Zionist group that operated in Palestine, killing innocent Palestinians and British soldiers; blowing up buildings

Rahm and pop- Chicago.. can only hope the apple landed far from the tree. The next Israeli President of the United States?

This is the same group that has been killing the people of Palestine in a cold blooded manner for over sixty years. They must be stopped.

We do wonder if the Israelis are targeting our friends in Gaza who are in the ground putting the news out in real time; people like Ken O’Keefe, our writer who Israel branded a ‘terrorist’ after the deadly incident involving the Gaza Freedom Flotilla and the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara which was attacked by Israel in the dark with murderous intent.

Nine men were killed, one was American, they were all unarmed.

Ken O’Keefe and others overpowered Israeli commandos and disarmed them, taking them captive. To what end? Ken and the other unarmed peace activists protected the captured Israeli soldiers and gave them medical attention. Then they were released.

Ken O’Keefe is a former U.S. Marine who was aboard the Mavi Marmara when it was attacked by Israel during a recent attempt to break the siege of Gaza.

If only Israel played the same way. I am so sick and tired of hearing Muslim people referred to as terrorists when no place in modern history can even slightly compete with Israel’s record number of terrorism events.

This video shows how from the beginning, Israel has only represented death and violence to the world. Nobody denies the fact that Jewish people suffered during the Holocaust, but anyone who accepts their current behavior certainly should equally agree with Hitler’s quest, at least in concept.

There is no race or culture that is entitled to more than another. The world should not be governed by religious concepts or hate.

Salem News

The Terrorist Expatriation Act is new legislation that will strip all Americans of their right to due process, a trial by a jury of one’s peers and a speedy trial.

The bill would allow the Department of State to, entirely on its own, take away any American’s citizenship who is accused of having ties to a terrorist network. This would deprive the accused of all their rights as an American citizen, including their right to due process. Americans’ most basic rights are at risk!

Brought to you by Senators Joseph Lieberman and Scott Brown in the Senate and Representatives Jason Altmire and Charlie Dent in the House of Representatives.

Perhaps the most egregious example of such dual loyalty is that of Rahm Emanuel, currently serving as White House Chief of Staff to President Barack Obama. He is both an American and Israeli citizen, a man who served in the Israeli Defense Force in 1991 but not in the U.S. military.

If anyone should be considered to have ties to terrorism it should be Lieberman and Emanuel.

The audacity to propose such a bill from someone who has no alliegance to the U.S. and serves a foreign terrorist government is definitely TREASON: treason, renouncing one’s nationality during a state of war, or serving in the military of a “foreign state.”

If this doesn’t violate essence of our government and policies, I don’t what does. We should exercise our rights in preventing this belligerent bill from passing.  A Bill should be introduced to demand that anyone who serves in this country’s (Senate or Congress) or the Executive Branch, must be a U.S. Citizen with Allegiance to the U.S. and ONLY the U.S.

Tell Congress to oppose this horrendous legislation, and any future attempts to restrict or remove American citizens’ fundamental rights!

Sample Letter

The Honorable [Your Rep]:I am outraged by the introduction of the Terrorist Expatriation Act by Senators Joseph Lieberman and Scott Brown in the Senate and Representatives Jason Altmire and Charlie Dent in the House of Representatives.

This legislation is an assault on my basic rights as an American. In one fell swoop, this bill will take away my right to due process and a speedy trial by a jury of my peers. These are bedrock rights that protect my freedom and are guaranteed by the U.S. constitution.
[Your comments will be inserted here.]

This bill comes following the effective and speedy arrest of Faisal Shahzad less than 72 hours after he attempted to set off a home-made car bomb in New York City. Lieberman and company are offended that the the FBI Agents arresting Shahzad — an American citizen — read him his Miranda rights.

This legislation is un-American and a completely inappropriate response to a well-handled law enforcement situation in New York. Please oppose this horrendous bill and any future attempt to deprive me of my rights as an American.

Sincerely,

The Irvine 11, UCI and Michael Oren

UPDATE September 23, 2011:

Last week, the public saw the best and worst of Tony Rackauckas. On Wednesday, the Orange County district attorney concluded a thorough yet timely investigation into the death of a homeless man, which resulted in the unusual decision to file charges against two Fullerton police officers.

On Friday, in a case that never should have been filed, a jury delivered guilty verdicts against 10 of the 11 Muslim students who disrupted a UC Irvine speech by the Israeli ambassador to the United States. After one stupid incident, those students will forever have to answer yes if they are asked by, say, potential employers whether they were ever convicted of a crime. Source

No doubt that should that tables have been turned, and should the 11 students had been Jews, UCI, the despicable Tony Rackauckas – who serves foreign interests, AIPAC and the illegitimate terrorist state of Israel, and possibly the media would have all bowed down and dismissed such a case,  citing, naturally that the Jewish students were allowed to object because they were.. the descendants of those who suffered during the Holocaust!

Then we have the surprising comment by Erwin (Hypocrite) Chemerinsky, the dean of UC Irvine’s Law School, who said that although freedom of speech is not an absolute right, university sanctions were enough for the students. He also added that he believes criminal sanctions go too far.

Chemerinsky told The Times last week that “it makes no sense” to use such resources. “It’s so minor.”

This is the same hypocrite who told the students they FAILED THEIR EXAMS even before they had taken them!

♠♠♠

No doubt that many have heard of the Irvine 11 by now.

On February 8, 2010, Michael Oren, a representative of, and the Israeli Ambassador to the U.S.,  was invited to UCI to speak on U.S.-Israeli relations. The speech by Oren was sponsored by the UCI Law School and the Political Science Department.

Israeli Ambassador to the United States Michael Oren was invited by several sponsors, including the law school (of which I am dean) and the political science department (of which I am a member) to speak at the university on Feb. 8.

Erwin Chemerinsky Dean and Distinguished Professor of Law, UC-Irvine School of Law

Michael Oren: Israeli soldier!

Wikipedia presents Oren as follows: notice how certain points are worded to disguise the ugly truth that this person denounced his U.S. citizenship in favor of becoming an Israeli citizen!

Oren was born Michael Bornstein in upstate New York. His father was an officer in the U.S. Army who took part in the D-Day invasion of Normandy in 1944 and fought in the Korean War.  Oren grew up in New Jersey in a Conservative Jewish household. As the only Jewish boy in a Catholic neighborhood, he says he experienced anti-Semitism on a daily basis.

Of course, this the first line of defense such Zionists use any and every time! In his youth, he was an activist in Zionist youth groups such as USY  and a gold medal winning athlete in the Maccabiah Games.  At 15, Oren made his first trip to Israel with youth movement Habonim Dror, working on Kibbutz Gan Shmuel.

In 1977, Oren completed his undergraduate degree from Columbia University. He continued his studies at Columbia, receiving a Masters in International Affairs in 1978 from the School of International and Public Affairs.

After college, he spent a year as an adviser to the Israeli delegation to the United Nations headed by Yehuda Blum.  In 1979, Oren immigrated to Israel.  In 1979, Oren joined the Israel Defense Forces.

He served as a paratrooper in the 1982 Lebanon War.  His unit was caught in a Syrian ambush on the second day of the war. His commander was killed and nearly everyone was wounded. He then joined a unit stationed in Sidon. Oren married in the summer of 1982 and returned the next day to Beirut.

During the 1991 Gulf War he was Israeli liaison officer to the U.S. Sixth Fleet.  He served as an army spokesman in the IDF Reserves during the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict.  During the 2008–2009 Israel–Gaza conflict, he was a media relations officer.

A few years later, Oren returned to the United States to continue his education, studying at Princeton University. In 1986, he earned a Ph.D. in Near East Studies.

On May 3, 2009, Oren was appointed as Ambassador of Israel to the United States by Israeli Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu,

How does a U.S. citizen become a foreign government’s Ambassador? Michael Oren renounced his US citizenship in favor of becoming an Israeli.

“..a solemn ritual that involves signing an oath of renunciation. He [Oren] said he got through it with the help of friends from the American Embassy in Tel Aviv who “stayed with me, and hugged me when it was over.” source

If anything, Oren should have never be allowed in the U.S. again or should have been immediately arrested for treason and for serving in a foreign army, representing a state accused of War Crimes and Genocide as proven by the Goldstone Report.

But that would have been antisemitism! [chuckle]

Michael Oren, born in the US and a dual citizen, is about to become Israel’s ambassador to the US which will require him to give up his US citizenship, the JPost reports.

No problem, says Oren. Now, the question is: At what moment does a Jewish American who chooses to make aliyah cease being a patriotic American and come out of the closet,  so to speak, as a patriotic Israeli wannabe?

At what point does a Jewish American supporter of Israel become a potential security risk if that person is employed in an agency of the US government?

To say that it is the moment the person announces his or her decision to make aliyah to Israel or give up his American citizenship is ludicrous.

The person who makes that decision could understandably as well as logically be viewed as having been politically compromised at some point before that and therefore it is reasonable for US government officials, particularly in areas where intelligence in involved, to look at Jewish American employees with a degree of suspicion. But when they do, it elicits the predictable accusations of anti-Semitism. source

The act of renouncing US citizenship is a very serious action to take and should not be done lightly. Prior to this it is imperative that you understand what happens as a result. This is not something that can be reversed, revoked or changed once it is completed.

Treason:

1. Convicted For An Act Of Treason Against The United States

Treason is a serious crime, and the Constitution defines the requirements for convicting someone of treason.   Treason is waging a violent war against the United States in cooperation with a foreign country or any organized group.

It includes assisting or aiding any foreign country or organization in taking over or destroying this country including abolishing the Constitution.

Treason also consists of attempting by overt acts to overthrow the US government or of betraying our government into the hands of a foreign power. If you are caught and convicted of treason, you can pretty much count on losing your US citizenship as well as serving lots of jail time.

source

Now then, what about Rahm Emanuel?

Moskal also charged that Emanuel had dual citizenship with Israel and had served in the Israeli Army – Wikipedia

Whose interests are these people serving?

The Irvine 11

Since Michael Oren represents a country which engaged in war crimes and potential crimes against humanity as determined by Justice Richard Goldstone (a Jewish person) and the UN Human Rights Council, it is only natural to denounce and disrupt this terrorist’s speech and/or lies that would defend Nazism, Israeli style.

Israel continues to commit war crimes by maintaining a 3 year siege on Gaza, which is nothing less than collective punishment, in contravention to Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention. Israel is also expanding settlements in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, in direct opposition to U.S. policy!

The 11 students who peacefully left the room and did not resist arrest, are accused of disrupting this terrorist’s [Oren’s] speech! Erwin Chemerinsky threatened the students as they walked out with: “YOU ARE FAILING YOUR EXAMS!”

Erwin C You are failing your exams!

Video

The Audacity of this professor to retaliate with such threats! Is this not anti-Semitism? Will he simply select every Muslim sounding name from his class roster and simply FAIL them? This man is an education terrorist and should be banned from teaching! Period!

Statement from Chancellor Michael Drake on Behalf of the UC Irvine Campus Community

Feb. 23, 2010

On numerous occasions during the past year, I have spoken and written about the manner in which we discuss and debate our differences, our values and how we use those values to guide our decision-making.

As you may have read, earlier this month I was very disappointed when some members of our community seemed more comfortable engaging in confrontation than collaboration, and in trying to close channels of communication rather than opening them.

As a brief frame of reference: Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren had been invited to speak on campus by a number of campus and community organizations (I bet it was Erwin and only Erwin and whoever he would threaten with anti-Semitism if they did not accept and agree with his invitation).

His speech was repeatedly and systematically interrupted by a group of students. The individuals involved were removed by campus police immediately, and are facing disciplinary proceedings.

Our primary goals are to ensure a UCI experience that delivers the highest standards of academic preparation, and an unparalleled richness of intellectual and cultural diversity. We are committed to growing our students as whole people. [but allow your professors to threaten students with failing them if they disagreed with his political views?]

All of our students learn that at UCI, whether we agree or disagree with someone’s views, we respect the right of everyone to share their experiences, insights and ideas. This is how we grow. This is among our greatest contributions as a learning community.

The 11 students have pending criminal charges and have been threatened with university disciplinary actions. Spokespersons of UCI have stated that the students may be dismissed or suspended for standing up in protest.

While the students’ speech was protected, the University seems to be sending a political message. The disproportionate response of the University and the Irvine police is undeniably due to outside pressures and lobbies!

UCI had a 30% fee hike and decrease in the quality of their education. This is due to the recession which has left California nearly bankrupt! Rather than funding our universities, the U.S. Government maintains approximately $4 billion a year of military aid to Israel: the only nuclear arsenal in the Middle East!

US tax dollars must not support a state which commits war crimes, particularly when tax dollars would be better utilized paying for students’ classrooms and tuition!

Another War Criminal’s speech interrupted!

Clashes in Jerusalem as Occupation Forces Serve Demolition Orders

The continued international decisions against the occupation and its policy including that of UNESCO regarding Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa Mosque form a clear message from the international community that it does not agree with the policies that protect the occupation and contribute to the creation of chaos and instability.

Palestinian Jews before the Zionist invasion.

“The (crazy) idea of bringing world’s Jews to leave their homelands, settle in the occupied (Palestinian) land and ‘inventing a Jewish People’ out of them is the real ‘theatre of the absurd’.”

May 15, 2017

Clashes erupted on Sunday, between Palestinians in the al-Matar neighborhood, to the north of occupied Jerusalem, and Israeli soldiers, after the latter stormed the area and handed out notices for the demolition of four buildings there, according to witnesses.

WAFA correspondence reported witnesses as saying that Israeli forces stormed the neighbourhood and shut down a building, before serving demolition orders against four under-construction buildings in the area, provoking clashes with residents. No injuries were reported.

The orders came under the pretext of being constructed too close to the apartheid wall, which separates the neighbourhood from Qalandia airport.

Forces also seized two vehicles belonging to residents in the neighbourhood.

UNESCO voted on a resolution which denied any Jewish connection to Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Buraq (Western) Wall in occupied Jerusalem.

Twenty-four member states voted in favour of the resolution, six against and 26 abstained.

The proposal was put forward by Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Sudan and the Palestinians.

Outlining that the city is holy to all three monotheistic religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the resolution says Al-Aqsa Mosque and its courtyards are only sacred to Muslims (As it always has been!)

Liberman unveils ‘big banana shtick’ policy for Palestinians

August 17, 2016

The Israeli Russian reveals plan to punish hometowns of  occupation resistance, while also improving direct contact with Palestinians. BOOM haha!

Occupation Minister Avigdor Liberman unveiled a new plan on Wednesday to punish Palestinians with the shtick who resist the occupation, or the “Big Banana” for those who surrender. All they have to do is go and get it.

Under the proposal, known as “The shtick, the hits and the big banana,” Liberman also intends to take the bananas away from Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, whom Israel has long accused of not working hard enough for them.

11123621_det

Palestinian villages in the West Bank from where the resistance regularly emanate, which are marked in red in Liberman’s mind, will face a series of Israeli attacks— which he referred to as “TBOSL”  (The Burden Of Security LOL) — including additional occupation troop presence in the area and increased enforcement of laws.

The project is expected to cost NIS 400 million US tax payer money over the next two years, but Liberman said that’s ok.

“No one wants a Molotov cocktail thrown at them in the middle of the night when occupation troops operate terror raids of homes and villages.

Occupation Soldiers load a Palestinian, believed to have taken part in protests, into the back of an armored personnel carrier in Qalqilya on January 14, 2016. (Judah Ari Gross/Times of Israel, File)

Liberman, who has in the past inquired into the possibility of deporting the families of the occupation resistance, told reporters that the option was no longer on the table as it was “not legally tenable. So we have to keep culling them incrementally”, he said.

The Russian minister discussed at length his opposition to the practice of returning the bodies of dissected Palestinians to their families, which has put him at odds with Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit and the Shin Bet security service.

“It’s funny that you have two government offices with two different policies, and therefore I will bring up this topic again at the next cabinet meeting,” he said.

lol laughing hillary clinton hillary busting up

That is really funny! That is SO funny! You Jews are SO funny! Can I be US president now?

“If Mandelblit does not uphold the position of the High Court of Justice [to suspend the return of the bodies], I will do it myself. But if the Supreme Court decides otherwise, against my position, I will honor that as I have done in the past,” he said.

“I can disagree with the Shin Bet too,” Liberman added.

In response, Mandelblit said that the heads of the various security agencies had reviewed the issues and determined that there are no “security conditions” that “justify the total prevention of returning bodies after the organs have been “donated to us.”

Israel will now return the bodies. A bit altered..

The Big Banana

While the name of the offense minister’s plan seemed to indicate that the proposal would also include benefits for Palestinians, few were listed, LOL.

The offense minister proposed allowing additional construction of an industrial park near Nablus, an economic corridor between Jericho and Jordan, along with some other general construction in the Palestinian cities that have not been the hometown of the resistance, which were marked in green in  Liberman’s mind. What the hell, what do we have bombs for?

Palestinians cross the Qalandiya checkpoint, outside of the West bank city of Ramallah, as they head to the Al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem's Old City to attend the second Friday prayers of Ramadan, June 17, 2016. (Flash90)

Haha! Palestinians cross the Qalandiya checkpoint, outside of the West bank city of Ramallah, as they head to the Al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem’s Old City to attend the second Friday prayers of Ramadan, June 17, 2016.

Another exception was the minister’s promise to improve the checkpoints between the West Bank and Israel. They may have 10 minutes dropped from their 5 hour waiting time.

Liberman has ordered the creation of an Israeli news site in Arabic for the population of the West Bank and Gaza, something he first proposed prior to becoming offense minister.

imageedit_306_5989488489The website will cost approximately NIS 10 million US tax payer dollars and is expected to go live in January 2017, he said. It will be run by the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, or COGAT, a unit of the Occupation Ministry.

In an attempt to change the power dynamic in the West Bank, Liberman has also proposed removing some of the barriers of communication between Israelis officials and their Palestinian counterparts.

Today much of that exchange is approved by Abbas, something Liberman hopes to avoid in the future.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas

“An asymmetry has formed in the West Bank, in which Abu Mazen speaks freely with Israeli officials, but the opposite does not happen. Abu Mazen is an obstacle to an agreement,” Liberman said, using Abbas’s nom de guerre.

“We can hold a dialogue [with other Palestinian leaders in the West Bank] bypassing Abu Mazen as he is a barrier and is unhelpful,” Liberman said.

The Terror of Christian Sharia

I fail to understand how anyone can be made to fear Islam, Muslims, Sharia etc when, if you follow the money, the closest you get to Islam is the oil rich Arab US allies!

Muslim Americans are a tiny group and are in no position to impose anything on anyone. But Pence represents a quarter of Americans and nearly half of Republicans, and his wacky ideas could easily become law.

Newt Gingrich suggested on cable tv that Muslim Americans should be asked if they believe in “sharia” and if they answer yes, they should be deported.

I like Juan Cole more and more, as I witness over the course of time several of my former favorite writers and journalists descend into blatant  Islamaphobia such as Wayne Madsen and James Fetzer. Juan Cole is right minded, unprejudiced, fair and balanced.

By Juan Cole

Newt Gingrich suggested on cable tv that Muslim Americans should be asked if they believe in “sharia” and if they answer yes, they should be deported. You can’t deport US citizens, so the whole remark was ridiculous.

Sharia for Muslims is the equivalent of Canon Law for Catholics, Halakhah for Jews, and I guess the entire Bible for some fundamentalists (though there are laws in Deuteronomy that it is hard to imagine anyone actually practicing).

All religions have laws. Sharia is the Muslim one. But it is fluid and an arena of contention within Islam. It forbids murder, theft, adultery, and drinking.

You’d think people would be happy about all that. In any case, observant Muslims would all say they believe in sharia, just as observant Jews would say that the believe in Halakhah or observant Catholics would say they believe in canon law.

Although most interpretations of sharia frown on same-sex marriage, American Muslims are more likely to support it than are US evangelicals. That datum is an example of what I mean when I say it is fluid and an arena of contention.

And by the way, whatever the Vatican says, http://www.beliefnet.com/faiths/catholic/2001/01/the-catholic-abortion-paradox.aspxAmerican Catholics have a higher abortion rate than Protestants. You can’t read off things from abstract data about people’s religion.

The American right wing (or far right; how could you tell anymore?) has tried to substitute “sharia” for the Communist Manifesto, attempting to configure it as radical or inherently un-American.

The American Right never got over losing Communism as a boogey man with which to threaten people into accepting lower wages and being obedient to . . . the American Right.

So it wants to shoehorn everyday Muslims into that role, on the grounds that sharia involves jihad or holy war. But in Shiite Islam, for instance, offensive holy war is forbidden under today’s circumstances.

And in mainstream Sunni Islam, state authority would have to declare it, and I don’t know of any that have any time recently (you can’t imagine secular leaders like Egypt’s Abdel Fattah al-Sisi or Caid Beiji al-Sebsi talking that way). It is only for fringe extremists that vigilanteism is allowed, and that is true in all religions.

One of the alleged grounds on which people like Gingrich attack Muslim religious law is that they say they fear the 1% of Americans who are Muslims will try to impose it on everyone else. That allegation is also ridiculous.

But there is a religious law that poses such a danger to secular and liberal traditions in the United States and that is the evangelical sharia, to which Trump running mate Mike Pence is devoted.

“Let me say emphatically, like the overwhelming majority of my constituents, my Christian faith compels me to cherish the state of Israel.”

Pence is welcome to his own private beliefs. But he wants to impose Evangelical beliefs on all Americans.

1. Pence wants to see Roe v. Wade overturned and abortion made illegal. He holds this position because of an unprovable, unscientific belief that the human person begins at conception (not something held by traditional Christianity).

Pence wants to take control of 150 million women’s bodies in the United States and to inscribe his Christian sharia on them, getting in between them and their physicians.

He wants to make thousands of pregnant rape victims every year bear their rapist’s baby. He wants his theology to be a ghostly presence in every OB-GYN consultation. And he wants to do this in the teeth of settled secular law. He actually signed a law requiring burial or cremation for aborted fetuses.

2. Pence’s personal and narrow theology has to be imposed on the rest of us even at the level of foreign policy. He said at an AIPAC conference, “Let me say emphatically, like the overwhelming majority of my constituents, my Christian faith compels me to cherish the state of Israel.”

If he had said that his Christian faith requires him to cherish the state of Argentina or Thailand or North Korea, we’d want to know why his weird doctrines should shape US foreign policy. There is in contrast no unanimity among American Muslims that the US must “cherish” any foreign state.

3. Pence pushed for a constitutional amendment against same-sex marriage. There are no secular grounds for opposing this simple human right. He is against gay marriage because of some strange interpretation he has of some Bible verse (there isn’t anything about what we call gays in the Bible). Some conservative Muslims are against same-sex marriage on religious grounds, as well.

So why is it bad if they deploy their theology for social legislation but good if Pence does it? Shouldn’t these decisions in a country with a separation of religion and state be made on rational grounds? Pence in essence wants to Establish a religion as the source of American law, which the First Amendment expressly forbids. And no, the Bible doesn’t say that marriage is between one man and one woman.

4. He signed a bill allowing people to discriminate against gays (and I guess against African-Americans or anyone else) if their religious beliefs tell them to. In other words, he is putting Evangelical sharia above the secular law, exactly what Gingrich accuses Muslims of wanting to do (but which few American Muslims would even want to).

White Christian anti-civil rights groups in 1964 also argued that their religion required racial segregation, and by Pence’s logic they should be allowed to discriminate against Black people if their reading of the Bible makes that obligatory.

5. Pence opposed stem cell research done with stem cells taken from aborted fetuses, even though aborting fetuses is legal and even though stem cell therapies are extremely promising. As it happens, science has advanced to the point where stem cells can be acquired in other ways.

But the point is that Pence would rather have doomed quadriplegics to permanent paralysis rather than back down from his weird theological position that blastocytes are people (which requires us to believe that miscarriages of 3-day-olds in the toilet are a form of human death; we’d all have a lot of dead siblings to mourn in such a bizarro world).

Pence and other people of faith are welcome to believe and practice as they will in the United States– that’s one of the purposes of the United States. I personally admire people of strong faith and conviction.

But they are not welcome to Establish an official religion here and impose that religion’s laws on everybody; preventing that kind of thing is also one of the purposes of the United States.

Muslim Americans are a tiny group and are in no position to impose anything on anyone. But Pence represents a quarter of Americans and nearly half of Republicans, and his wacky ideas could easily become law.https://i1.wp.com/uploads.disquscdn.com/images/22371802819553cdcf27dab41dc80d81971a8177ddff768bd02438f78d3a52ba.jpg?w=545&ssl=1

The Muslim story that could get you killed

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for the Muslims and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Muslim.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

medium.com/@asgharbukhari
I am going to tell you a tale of two stories and one of them could get you killed.

The first is the story of Western political elites. Their story is about Islam. They tell you that Islam (or if they can’t be honest ‘ Islamism’) is a threat to the world, that this medieval religion is violent and barbaric. A faith that leads to violence and one that the West must take action against in order to defend itself. It is a story that inevitably leads to a clash of civilizations.

It is repeated in newspapers and news channels in the Western World every single day in various subtle ways and as a result white westerners believe it.

Muslims also tell a story, and it also involves Islam. This is the one that could get you killed. They tell a story of an American Empire pushed by Israel and its lobby and old European hatreds, into yet another war against Muslims.

In their story the West has been waging wars to uphold their manufactured borders across the Muslim world that allowed them to control and dominate the region and kept that order and maintained it by propping up ruthless dictators. The resulting deaths and broken lives now measured in their millions.

The Muslim story was not unlike the story Muslims had told each other for decades, ever since the fall of the Muslim political expression – the Ottoman Empire. But there were two key differences in this story. Over the decades many Muslims had lost faith in nationalism.

ab

In all too many cases it had brought them nothing but misery. The borders the West had forced Muslims to live under since 1922 had inevitably and inexorably lost their legitimacy.

So they looked for another identity and found it in Islam. And as they gravitated to this new identity, they no longer saw themselves primarily as Palestinians, Iraqis or Pakistanis etc. Instead they started to identify themselves – as Muslims.

When I say a Muslim identity I do not mean a passive spiritual consciousness of people who practiced certain rituals. Internal religious understanding that demanded adherence to strict rituals but could change nothing about their world being destroyed, or the millions suffering as a result — apart from perhaps, giving some charity. An apolitical identity that Muslims took to after their defeat at the hands of colonizing armies.

Instead, what I mean, is a Muslim political identity was re-emerging. A consciousness was forming of who they were in this world. A people who were not passive spectators in a world controlled by others.

A people who saw themselves as one community and not split into tribes by manufactured lines drawn in the sand by their colonial masters. In short a Muslim identity that was politically awakened. An identity that was not given by their colonizers but by themselves.

The other difference was, more and more of them were prepared to fight for it.

It is these two narratives that are at war in the world today. It is these two narratives that Western politicians, are using laws and wars to either uphold or destroy.

When the reader hears the words ‘hate preacher’ or ‘Islamist’ or Jihadist’ or ‘extremist’ — what they were really hearing was political propaganda for a political agenda. In truth it was nothing at all to do with ‘terrorism’.

It was in reality to uphold a world order they had imposed upon the Muslim World after the first world war.

And Western Elites would go to extraordinary lengths to ensure the dominance of their narrative. Their order depended on it. Thus these propaganda words were weapons that were used to legitimize the subsequent action they needed to take against those who spoke a counter narrative.

In Muslim countries this was easy. They simply got their local dictator to eliminate the citizen who expressed his beliefs too loudly. This is documented in the superb book Dirty Wars by Scahill and in the equally shocking book Cruel Britannia by Cobain.

But here in the UK the Government used subtler methods.

Black lists are compiled, previously apolitical institutions like Universities and the Charity Commission are used to spy on and intimidate Muslims into silence. If that failed, calling them ‘extremists’ was a catch-all and could smooth the way to silencing them by putting them in prison or house arrest, ASBOs, press vilification, black mail and harassment by the intelligence services.

The Elites were guaranteed public support as long as they used these propaganda terms, the Media had primed the public to fear these buzz words and so unthinkingly accept any action the Government sought to take. Even Muslims were silent — no one after all wanted to be seen defending an ‘extremist’ — to defend them was to be them — and thus become a target.

the average white non-Muslim would never truly understand either why his Government was waging wars abroad (or demonizing Muslims here) or why Muslims seemed to be ever more ready to take to violence themselves. It would all be explained away as fighting ‘terrorists’.

Am I saying that all these Muslims were freedom loving, liberal minded people? Of course not. But hell does not produce many poets and the Muslim world and its bombed out cities were as close to hell as you could get on this earth.

However there was a fly in the ointment for Western Elites. Muslims were increasingly becoming politically awakened.

The problem was the brutal force the West was using to maintain its order was in fact its Achilles heal. The more the West killed, kidnapped, tortured, demonized, brutalized, and the more they denied people the ability to choose their own destiny — or even speak about it — the more the Muslim story of oppression and their quest for freedom appeared to ring true.

If before it was just an abstract and interesting theory, it now came alive before their very eyes, and the insoluble proof lay in the dead bodies or broken families they witnessed — and thanks to the internet, millions were witnessing it daily.

And that is why the West cannot beat Al-Qaeda. Because it’s not Al-Qaeda they are fighting anymore. The story of the struggle is growing beyond a small group. Today across the world they are fighting young, committed angry men, from all walks of life, in Somalia, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Mali, Yemen, Kenya, Libya and the list is growing.

And these men and women are no longer willing to accept that they must live under Western backed dictators, in Western manufactured states and do not think their lives are cheaper than anyone else’s. They do not see it as their lot in life to see their people slaughtered by drones or kidnapped never to be seen again — they intend to stop it.

We can’t beat these groups by doing the very thing that made them take up arms in the first place. Violence begets violence.

Putting it bluntly.

Muslims are human beings. No human being can live under an unjust order for ever. Eventually they will fight to overturn that order — and that is exactly what they are doing.

And if you are a Muslim – saying exactly what I have just said in this article …could get you killed….or worse

I am going to tell you a tale of two stories and one of them could get you killed.

ab
